Workplace Policy

Purpose

This Workplace Policy outlines expectations, guidelines, and benefits for all Master AI team members. We’re a remote-first, outcome-driven organization that prioritizes flexibility, trust, and impact over rigid processes. Our culture is built on governance-first principles—the same approach we bring to client AI transformations.

Effective Date: November 2025 · Version: 1.0 · Owner: Master Media FZ-LLC (trading as “Master AI”)

1. Core Values & Culture

Our Values

  • Governance First: Quality, compliance, and risk management precede speed
  • Outcome Over Activity: We measure impact, not hours
  • Radical Transparency: Open communication, visible progress, documented decisions
  • Continuous Learning: AI evolves fast; we evolve faster
  • Client-Centric Delivery: From pilot to production, we ship what matters

Culture Principles

  • Trust by default: We hire adults who own their work
  • Async-first communication: Respect time zones and deep work
  • Document everything: If it’s not written, it didn’t happen
  • Bias to action: Iterate, test, ship—then refine
  • MEA-native mindset: We understand Middle East & Africa business culture, compliance nuances, and regional expectations

2. Work Arrangements

Remote-First Model

Master AI operates as a fully remote-first company. Team members work from locations across the Middle East, Africa, and beyond, with flexibility to choose work environments that maximize their productivity.

What Remote-First Means

  • No central office requirement
  • Distributed team across UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Egypt, Kenya, and other MEA regions
  • Asynchronous collaboration as the default
  • Tools and infrastructure designed for remote work
  • Equal access to opportunities regardless of location

In-Person Collaboration

While remote-first, we recognize the value of face-to-face interaction for:

  • Client workshops: Discovery sessions, design sprints, stakeholder alignment
  • Delivery milestones: Go-live support, training, handover
  • Team offsites: Quarterly strategy sessions, retrospectives (optional but encouraged)
  • Relationship building: Client meetings, partner engagements, industry events

Work Hours & Availability

  • Standard workweek: Maximum 48 hours per week (per UAE labor law; we target 40 hours for work-life balance)
  • Flexible schedule: Work when you’re most productive within reason
  • Response expectations: Slack within 4 hours, emails within 24 hours, client requests per SLA
  • Meeting windows: Schedule across MEA time zones (GMT+2 to GMT+4 primarily)

Time Off

  • Annual leave: 30 calendar days per year (per UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021)
  • Sick leave: Up to 90 days per year (first 15 days paid, next 30 days half-pay per UAE labor law)
  • Parental leave: 60 days maternity leave (full pay), 5 days paternity leave (per UAE labor law)
  • Religious observance: Flexible (e.g., Ramadan working hours, Friday prayers)
  • Public holidays: All UAE official public holidays observed

3. Performance & Growth

Performance Philosophy

We evaluate outcomes, not output. Success = client impact + team health + personal growth.

Performance Indicators

  • Client satisfaction (NPS, testimonials, renewals)
  • Delivery quality (on-time, on-budget, technical excellence)
  • Knowledge sharing (documentation, mentorship, thought leadership)
  • Team collaboration (responsiveness, reliability, cultural fit)

Career Growth

  • Learning budget: $2,000/year per person (books, courses, conferences)
  • Certifications: Company-sponsored (AWS, GCP, Azure, TRiSM, CDMP, etc.)
  • Conference attendance: 1-2 industry events/year (MEA AI Summit, Gartner, etc.)
  • Internal mobility: Encouraged (e.g., delivery → presales → product)

4. Compensation & Benefits

Compensation Structure

  • Competitive market rates: Benchmarked against MEA AI/consulting firms
  • Transparent bands: Levels (Associate → Senior → Principal → Partner) with defined salary ranges
  • Performance bonuses: Quarterly bonuses tied to company + individual goals (10-20% of base)
  • End-of-service gratuity: Per UAE labor law (21 days salary per year for first 5 years, 30 days thereafter)

Benefits

  • Health insurance: Comprehensive medical, dental, vision (UAE-compliant, extendable to family)
  • Equipment stipend: $3,000 laptop setup + $500 annual refresh
  • Home office allowance: $1,000 one-time setup + $50/month internet
  • Coworking spaces: Covered up to $300/month if preferred
  • Wellness: Gym membership reimbursement ($100/month) or wellness app

5. Work Standards & Expectations

Delivery Excellence

  • Client-first mindset: Respond promptly, deliver on promises, escalate early
  • Quality over speed: No shortcuts on governance, testing, documentation
  • Scope discipline: If it’s not in the SOW, it requires a change order

Security & Confidentiality

  • Client data: Governed by DPA; never stored on personal devices
  • Access controls: Role-based permissions; MFA required
  • NDA compliance: All client engagements covered by NDAs
  • Data residency: Client data stays in UAE/MEA unless client specifies otherwise

Code of Conduct

  • Professionalism: Respectful, inclusive, no harassment or discrimination
  • Conflict of interest: Disclose any competing work, investments, or relationships
  • Anti-bribery: Zero tolerance for kickbacks or quid-pro-quo
  • Cultural sensitivity: Respect MEA business culture, religious practices, and local customs

Continuous Learning Culture

Master AI invests in team growth because AI evolves faster than any other field.
